Specialty Agriculture
Virginia citizens embrace many specialty enterprises from high tunnel strawberries, to non-timber forest products, to farm wineries, to vine-ripened tomatoes, to agri-tourism. Examples of specialty agriculture include agri-business products including plants, animals, and further processed products which may not be traditional to Virginia. Extension provides technical resources and education for growers and entrepreneurs who want to produce and sell crops in unique markets and increase the availability of locally produced food.
